The Truth About Swine Flu
A short history
Although this is a hot topic in the media right now, swine flu (also known as the H1N1 virus) is not new. It’s a different - and less dangerous - strain of the regular flu virus.
Swine flu first caught the government’s attention in 1976, when one soldier died of it. Based on this one death, they instituted a mandatory inoculation campaign, the outcome of which was that the vaccine injured over 4000 people. In the end the vaccine turned out to be more dangerous than the flu itself.
Every year about 30,000 people die from the regular flu. In 2008 in the US about 400 people died from swine flu, so it doesn’t even come close to being an epidemic.
Some DO’s and DONT’s
DON’T take the vaccine. With vaccine you inject foreign substances into the body and that’s never a good idea. In addition, all flu vaccines contain mercury derivatives, as well as formaldehyde, which is a known carcinogen.
DON’T panic. The media thrives on drama and that scares people. Your chances of dying in a freeway accident are greater than dying from swine flu!
DON’T worry because worry depresses your immune system.
DO take care of your body, eat properly and get plenty of rest. A strong, healthy body resists infection.
DO use homeopathy and alternative medicine. Homeopathy has an excellent track record in treating flu. In the worldwide flu pandemic of 1918, no deaths were reported among people who sought homeopathic treatment first.
DO seek out a practitioner of alternative medicine.
Remember that we are not victims of germs or genes: it’s up to each one of us take control of our own health through wise lifestyle choices.
